![]() If you're not getting "believable" bass lines from BIAB, you need to delve more deeply into it's abilities. ![]() I believe that Jammer and BIAB are *very* similar programs and both can be used to tweak your bass lines to your hearts content. I don't know BIAB, but I use Jammer Pro to generate a lot of my "basic" bass tracks. Lots of great suggestions that you've gotten already. What options do I have other than hire a bass player everytime? Is there any good MIDI bass line generator that has come up in the last couple of years. So I’m back at trying to come up with a way to do bass tracks myself. Then I tried loops (Bass On Demand and Smart Loops), which had the right feel but variety wasn’t all that great and the loops didn’t always transpose well… Lately, I’ve been hiring a bass player every time I need a good bass track, which works great but it’s expensive… That got me good sounding results and I liked the fact I could tweak the part as much as I wanted, but the feel wasn’t there. How do you guys get your bass tracks done? For the longest time I used band-in-a-box to generate the midi then use bass samples in Sonar. I got a quick question for those of you who don’t play bass ….
